Cooler-in-the-front question

I’ve been thinking of putting a cooler on the front to sub as a poling platform. Yeti seems to make a sturdy product and is fairly well liked/used. I was thinking the 65qt for the slight increase in standing area but the 50 looks to be a little taller. What size do y’all use?
How do y’all secure to the deck? I note their tie down kit but I hate to put a toe stumper in the middle of a nice casting desk. Is there something flush out there to use?
Anyone have a compelling argument for a different product?

Thks. Merry Christmas.

Sorry for the double post. The smartphone got a little too smart for me…

If it is ment to be permenent try using urithane calk/glue from hardwarestore.cant be beat! If not try industrial velcro!

The higher you can get the better. But have you ever tried poling from the front of the boat? I have not but cant imagine it would be easy. Good. Luck and hope you find what you need.

Unless you’re going in the ocean where you might bounce it off, a non-slip mat that goes in a bathtub with the suction cups on the bottom will work good for you and won’t leave those little corner toe stumpers when you don’t need the cooler there.

You can’t catch fish on a dry line

A restaurant style black rubber mat should work…cut to fit
