Since it had stopped raining, I checked the weather report after I got home from church and saw that it was supposed to clear in the afternoon. So I hooked up the kayak trailer and headed to the Cooper with the intention to troll artificials. I ended up with one under slot red while trolling a Rapala X-Rap hard bait then stuck the stick-it pole in near a likely looking area. My first cast with a ZMan PaddlerZ in Mulletron brought up a 15" flounder and within another 10 minutes also brought in a 16" red. Before leaving to head home, I switched back to the X-Rap and my first cast with that netted a 17" trout.
