Cooper river late report

Went out Friday morning for top water and fish the incoming. Started off fast with top water 1 red in the boat and a few blow ups. Fished incoming with paddlers and vudo shrimp. Put a few more in the boat but had no size. I spooked more than I could count. Saturday I took the wife in search of some flounder and reds at low tide. It was a little busy in Yellowhouse so we tucked in a small creek off the cooper and put out MM on a cork and bottom. All I can say is whatever we used as bait something would eat it in the first minute or so. I was using #2 circle hook and couldn’t hook up. I switched to some sheepshead hooks I had and it did the trick. Ended being a bunch of dink trout. It was fun trying to figure out what it was but it got old quick.

Gotta love that topwater bite!! Sounds like that bite has been heating up lately.

Earn it everyday…
