Has anyone fished any portion of the Cooper River for stripers?
Yes but not specifically for strippers in a long time.Stripers aka rockfish are usually a target of opportunity when fishing for bass,Shad and trout.Better study up on the laws as there is a size limit nowadays. They can be caught from one end to the other.Have not caught a big one in a while,probably because I don’t go out at night anymore.haha Good luck,they out there.Don’ understand why there ain’t more ,now that gigging and gill netting is illegal.
My son caught a bunch schooling in the East Branch a week or two ago.
