Coordinates

What is the best site to get offshore coordinates for towers, wrecks etc…? I need some print copies for people. Thanks

SC DNR site has all the artificial reefs coordinates and its really easy to print out. Other than the DNR site there is no other online site that has coordinates all in one place. Those are prized possessions for commercial fisherman and seasoned recreational fisherman.

You should recommend the people look the information up and study the databases themselves to appreciate the info a little more- as Cltdeerhunter said, much of that info is important to many people

TopSpots maps has the same info as the DNR site along with a lot more points that DNR doesn’t list. It isn’t free, but it’s well worth the money.

Look under resources at the top of the page there is are a bunch of ARs there. Most natural bottom is highly regarded as top secret.

Are you passing out to clients?

I use maps unique

Does the topspots show anything different than maps unique?

More supportive input from FishnBarrels. I don’t think he was hoping to have some crusty old fisherman divulge his top-secret numbers, or open himself up to getting his database hacked into! It was a simple question for other sites offering basic info…

Sorry, but the guy is on here labeled as a captain. All captains know to do their own homework to get ahead. Not too hard to look any of this info up if you have strong reasons for wanting it, thus wanting to learn from it. Not trying to be negative, just being realistic. People are lazy and all information related to offshore fishing anywhere was acquired by work and most who work for it regard it as important vs a lazy mindset wanting it easy.

Hey thanks for the info. I didn’t think about Topspots for offshore.

They both have all the “standard stuff” like DNR ARs and both have lots of other live bottom areas noted. I think the TopSpots map has more small patches of live bottom than MU.

Fishnbarrels don’t worry about the TURTLE. He has 20 post half of which are telling people they should be nice and the other half have not helped anyone on this site.

Im not worried one bit about it. I am all for helping people, but you have to want to help yourself first. Seems most people in the world these days want everything on a platter with no work involved. I don’t get how that is satisfying to people and it definitely goes against my grain.

Hmmm, this post seems vaguely similar to an earlier one requesting local inshore information. WOW!
