Went to Copahee yesterday and did decent landing a small trout first, then a friend turned me on to where the reds were and the right bait. Landed one around 23", then later caught 3 smaller ones, 5-7 trout (3 for dinner) on pink gulp minnows.
Tried Bushy today, slow moving a minnow down the left bank-nothing, trolled up and down the river, then up and down my creek with not even a hit. Wind got a little rough on way back in.
Sounds like you’ve been having a bit more luck than you had at the lagoon. I fished for about two hours yesterday and ended up with a slam. 1 Flounder about 6", 3 trout in the 15 range a red also at 15. Was going to head out today but was a bit windy so decided to do some yard work. What day will you be heading back down here next week, will have to try a couple other spots.
