Copahee sound and very large mud minnow pics

Went out at about 10:00 to Copahee sound. We arrived at high tide, so we couldn’t find bait, but we had bought some mud minnows so at least we had a little bait. We fished for a long while catching only tiny sharks. About a half our before we left I heard my drag screaming, so I tightened the drag down and fought it for about a minute. (This was on my 5’ rod that only carries like 10lb test and limited line.) Well, I had really hoped it would be a nice red, but as I pulled it up it was actually a skate. It fought nice though.
One of our mud minnows was a MONSTER!…well for a mud minnow, lol.

You know you had a slow day fishing when measuring and posting pics of mm’s!!

what did that mud minnow hit

You should enter that bad boy in the trident.

Here’s one close to 5" that I pulled from a land locked pool when the tide was low last month in Bull’s Bay.
