Good to meet you putting in on Sunday Talldoug had a good day also

Launched at 5:30 am it was almost high tide 4.5ft. W/very light breeze Top Water lure action had 6 Blow-ups three trout + 3 Red Drum no hook ups. Sun-up switched to Z-Man on #3 weed less hook.

Outgoing tide- Hunting, hunting ++ fished points, run outs + grass lines not a one. I saw a tail way out in the middle of nowhere on a shallow oyster bed. Sight casted to him BAM 33? red and WOW there was another cast out ahead of him BAM 29? Red. They were aggressively eating happy red fish.

It is so much fun to sight cast to them!!!

Good to meet you as well Capt Dave! It was a good day indeed, nice job on the big boys… From 6-8am it was non-stop! then the pesky sun had to pop up and slow every thing down. We still got a few after 10am but it was pretty slow. What plug do you throw on top? I had TONS of hits that did not hook up because of factory hooks. have had good luck with VMC and Eagle laser 3x. ordered some Owner 4x and think they will become my primary’s. x2 on the sight casting…What a rush :smiley: Tight Lines TD

I use a Super Spook Jr for top water old beat up Red + White

I replace the treble hooks - treble hooks larger than the lure body seem to get a lot more hook-ups
