I’m thinking about going out to Copahee sound this weekend. I’ve been out there a couple times without success but I’m not ready to give up on it yet. Can anyone offer any tips?
There aren’t any fish out at Copahee now. The storm waters washed them all away.

thanks for the insight YakinReds, is there somewhere else you’d suggest trying my luck?
If you go to Copahee just watch the tides. It is an early morning low with a noon high and a late afternoon low. Artificials will work but you might want to take some bait either mud minnows or cut bait. Either make your way out to the ICW or set up around an area with some oyster mounds and grass and toss out the bait on a bottom rig and wait as the tide is coming in the reds will follow. Once they get going you can use artificials or stick with the bait. Also once the water gets up you can use a popping cork. The rain did not affect that area because it is not feed from a fresh water source and there have been enough tide changes to flush it out from any of the rain. Caught five nice back on Oct 11th out in the ICW. Good luck & Tight Lines!!
