I had one heck of a day. Started off meeting Scott (5151) and getting what I thought would be enough fingers in 2 casts of the net. First couple hrs. were slow for me only landing about a dozen trout (11-17") heheheh… Paddled out Toomer creek with nothing much going on. Then I heard some crashing going on around the next bend. Found the reds tailing and feeding. After about 10minutes a monster was hooked and the battle ensued… I got him, eventually (28") but he drug me up in the grass and ripped a hole thru my net and soaked me. Bestest fight I have ever had. On way back casted at the fish feeding with electric chickens, thinking they were reds but were big trout. Landed at least another dozen bigger ones (15-20" trout) Many breakoffs and misses.
Bushypark has nothing on this place!

Yep, that was some good trout fishing… Today, boated 4 sm ones, 1 big lady fish and a bonnethead. Spottails were in the grass but didn’t bite.
great day of fishin, CM, and some good size to boot!
id like to get into the numbers of trout that size … i havent come across more than one or 2 sizeable fish in the last few trips.gotten alot of short-n-sporty’s though <mainly using shrimp, i figure thats the reason>…but its so much fun catchin quantities, they all get released anyway…
Glad you had a good day, glad you got back out , saw you truck still at the ramp so i figured you were doing good.
