I am going to need the transom replaced on a 22’ hydra sport, curious if anyone that has had this work done could tell me what it cost you, and who did it for you? thanks!

we have replaced a number of transoms. obviously the motor has to be removed and then rerigged, and that adds to the cost.
trying to match the gelcoat exactly also adds to teh price.
minimum would probably be around $1500 to do it properly

I have the motor removed already, and I will do the re-rigging myself as well, I have access to a shop with a forklift so it makes it pretty easy, I’ve done it before. not to mention I have a very good friend that makes his living off boats and motors, he’s just not a fiberglass guy. All I need is the transom done, I’ll take care of the rest…

Don’t know Carl but I do know Bobby. He’s great at what he does but I can tell you he’ll be closer $3500. It will be done right for sure but good luck getting it done for $1500 from him. This is not a knock on him. He’s worked on my boats many times in the past and is who I’d use.
