$15 Berkeley polarized glasses work just fine for me.
I’m way too goofy with glasses to buy expensive ones.
My middle brother wears expensive Costas and hardly ever goes fishing. When he does go, he never catches anything, because he won’t listen to me.

yep they worked perfectly for me too, back when I was in my 20’s n 30’s and had eagle eyes that could see nearly as well without them
no in my fifties with astigmatisms, macular degeneration going on and script glass a necessity to see anything… cheap glasses just won’t do anymore
kudos to you, and remember these days when u can see like that!

Who in town carries a good selection of Costa’s? Don’t need anything with a prescription. I don’t have a huge head so I would like to try on a few before ordering online. I would buy local if I could find a good deal, but looks like I can save about $60 online and that’s a tank of gas for the truck.
there a place in Tanger Outlet called Sunglass Hut or something? they have great sales on them now n then, that’s where my sister buys them and she’s so cheap that I’m sure she spent way more time and gas finding the best deal than she saved… lol

I have costas and I recently bought some green tint sea strikers from palmetto moon for 25bucks, they work just as good as my costas which were 180. The only good thing about costas is the lenses are tough and they have a good warranty, but if your good at taking care of glasses and dont drop them in the drink you can get away with a nice pair of reg. polarized glasses. Lets be honest most people by costas because thats what they see on the t.v. shows(all about style) I love my costas, but I have to send them back because the lenses cracked but I probably wont buy another pair. I have been deployed to the desert for 3 months and wear my sea strikers every day with out a scratch.

Checkout Suncloud, polarized, around $50 w/a lifetime warranty. I wore a pair with the gold mirror lenses last week in FL and my eyes never felt better. My new go to’s.
For the money I love my Calcutta lenses from haddrells point. About 25$ with tax and all. The only thing I don’t like us after several months of hard use and then getting salty and in the pool and such, the coating on the lenses(blue/green) will start to scrape off when I wipe the lenses off to clean them. But my 25$ Calcuttas are nicer than my moms 400p Costas…
I have a pair of 580p Costa Fathoms with amber lenses and love them. I have experienced only good from CDM’s warranty. My dad only wears maui jims and swears by them. I’ve worn them before and really like them as well. I think between maui’s and costa’s it’s between personal preference on style; I think the functionality is very similar.

After 5 -6 years, I broke my last pair of Smiths (completely my fault). I called to see what they could do. Since the model I had was no longer available, I got my choice of pretty much any style for $70. The ones I chose have an MSRP of ~$200. The thing I love about these current classes is that they lighten/darken about 10% depending on ambient light. It allows me to wear them, and protect my eyes, that much longer.
I haven’t tried other brands, but I have been quite happy with the Smiths.

Was a fan of Costa! Now you can purchase the same glass and tint of Costa, regular or perscription for 120 or so! The frame is all black. The eye care center at Walmart has the frame. Made the change a few years ago, after picking up my new Costa/ perscription, driving to Bulls, and losing them on the same day:smiley:
Costas all the way. They were a little short on me (tight around the ears) when I first bought them. To them to the eye clinic in the Wal Mart on James Island and they headed the frame up and straightened the ear piece for me at no charge. I was in the store about 2 minutes. I love them! You can see fish and structure under water that you normally can’t see using the cheapos.
