Costa lens color?

I am sure this has been asked before. I have gone through a few cheap polarized sun glasses and figured I may bite the bullet and get some costa’s this summer. I have found a style a like and I want th 580 lenses. My question is those who know or have them, what is the best color for strictly inshore fishing? The sales girl said green for inshore and copper for offshore is what they recommend. Anyone have some actual first hand experience would go further with me.

In my opinion, any lens color costas will be better than cheapos and I have had many colors over the years. I do like the green mirror better for inshore. They block the glare and uv rays but make everything you look at brighter so things under that water are easier to see. I have used them offshore as well and they work fine. I have a pair of the ploy lens in amber and they work well too. I used these as my work/everyday sunglasses because the poly lens is very tough and scratch resistant.

Amber/copper is the best for seeing redfish.

BROWN works best in medium to bright light situations. AMBER can start to hurt your eyes after fishing in bright light situations for a while, like flats fishing.
Good Luck!

That’s the way I always heard it coosa. That is the reason I wanted to ask on here because the girl who was selling them to me was saying the opposite. Like I said I do no offshore fishing, strictly marsh and inlet. Thanks for the info guys.

I have had 3 pairs of costas, all have been amber with green mirror. they are the best in my opinion for inshore

The Costa website tells you specifically which color lens is for what type of fishing. I have heard that the glass lens is a little more durable that the plastic. I’m sure any pair of Costa’s that you get will be 100x better then the “cheap polarized sun glasses” you’ve been wearing.

I saw the website lens selector, but it recommends a couple colors for inshore. Just wanted some input from some first hand experience. I agree though, that any color would be better than what I have now.
