Anyone know or have any connections or reccomendations on a charter on the pacific coast of Costa Rica for either roosterfish or sails, I know its not the hype of the season now for billfish but just looking to do some fishing while im here for the next month. Dont need sporties or a big boat but just want to get out with someone for an awesome experience. Thanks
Capt. Pete Pelon in Zancudo. Best place in Costa Rica in my mind, and I’ve been all up and down the Pacific coast. It’s way down on the Osa Peninsula, so it’s a good bit of work to get down there, but it isn’t all that bad. Catch mangrove snapper, big roosters, mackerels, jacks, etc. It’s $350 for 6 or 7 hours, don’t remember. PM me if you want a description of how to get there or any Pacific coast info.
http://www.kingpin-sportfishing.com/ I fished with Lee and Rudy in April and it was great fun. Fishing was a little slow but Lee worked hard and we caught a 60lb grouper that we ate at Noguis that night on the beach. Lee grew up in Columbia and went to the College. Boat is in Tamarindo and charter was great fun and run first class. Lee and his wife are great people and arranged for everything including the dinner at Noguis.
