Any one use Down East Guide Service down in Los Suenos? Looking to go this winter with my son.
Any opinions or other recommendations welcome!

We use Costa Rica Dreams out of Los Suenos. They have an office at the marina. No complaints, always catch a lot of fish. Will use them again on our next trip. The fishing there is unreal by our standards! Our best day was 23 sails, 6 marlin and a bunch of wahoo, tuna and dolphin. Dang, that will spoil ya!!

i think they just upgraded to a larger sporty. I fished with him on my honeymoon last month. He’s cheaper than most, even though he’s a smaller boat he is consistently one of the top boats in the marina. We were #4 boat in the marina the day we fished i believe, and that was against larger sporties with 2 mates. When all the other charter boats come in, you want see him till a couple hours later, he stays out longer, has no problem making a longer run to the fish and is by far the most determined captain i have ever seen. He can also set you up with all kind of tours at cost.
he does alot of popping for tuna, etc and the day we went offshore i hooked most the fish. He’s all about making you happy and doing what you want.
I couldnt say enough about him, top rate guy and his mate Randall is a trip.
It’s probably hard to have a bad trip with anyone fishing out of Los Suenos

You can’t go wrong booking a trip with Down East Guide service. I know George personally and have been on several trips with him. How many captains out there are a marine biologist on top of running charters as well. Have many friends who do the Costa Rica trip with him every year and have benn for a long time. My best bet for a good time is book with Down East. I can put you in touch with several of my friends who have been with him to costa rica if you desire a reference.
Wanna kill fish, then let’s go!

George is a good guy. His boats are 3 of the best.
Have not fish down south with him but I have out of Morehead City, NC. Top notch guide that runs a good operation. We had a multi day trip where we fished with him and another of his guides on a 2nd boat. Beckwith made sure equal opportunity was there all the way around.

Beckwith is top notch. We went to college together and fished and hunted ducks in NC. I haven’t done a southern trip with him but I would in a heartbeat. Nicest guy you’ll meet and lives and breathes the outdoors.
