Costa Rica

Anyone fished in Costa Rica lately?? Going there in April…

Thanks…

Always been to Costa Rica in Feb, Never been in April think it rains a lot in April but I think the fishing is still good! Good luck.

Where are you going because fishing is different depending on where you are going? I have been to Quepos/Manuel Antonio twice and the fishing for sailfish was insane - like nothing i have ever experienced. I always went in Jan/Feb which is usually their peak sailfish seasoon.

We are going to Quepos/Manuel Antonio. Kids Spring break. What guides have you used?

Try Freenzy sportfishing in Columbia S.C. They have 2 boats in Quepos with great capt. and mates and great equiptment! Have fished there many times on different boats but these guys are pros and will put you on the fish!

Just got back from a week in Costa Rica. Used Down East Guide Service. George and Anna Beckwith did a great job at coordinating all travel and lodgeing for the three couples that went. They have a Maverick (42’?)with a great captain and crew out of Los Suenos. We fished two days on the Draggn Fly had 26 bites with 17 sails landed…also stopped on some gag grouper for supper. Caught those in 465’ of water…got to be work after a couple. George can be reached at 252-671-3474 or check out his web site at downeastguideservice.com. He also arranged for a Panga trip out of Quepos where we caught a mixed bag…rooster fish, wahoo, Jacks and cuda…all in all a great time…my first time to Costa Rica and it won’t be the last…
