put in off leeds ave today for paddle down to cosgrove. We trolled with 2 rods each and didn’t get a hit. Ran up on 2 small schools of reds on oysterbanks and finally boated one at about 20inches. -green grub

Cutmullet,
How have you been stranger? I put in at the same landing two weeks ago from last Sunday. Went upstream mid morning on the rising tide in a fog bank to try for stripers under the rr tressle. Plenty of fish arches on the finder but no takers. Have you ever fished Church Creek going out Pierpoint landing? It’s perfect for a yak. I tried it in the fall and enjoyed the ride to the Ashley.

is that a public landing there right off the leeds exit? i have fished that creek by pierpoint landing and didnt catch anything. that creek is really long. hesitant to leave my truck there or next to cosgrove…

palmettobum,
It’s is a nice public landing on the Ashley just south of the expressway. Would’t worry about vehicle security in the lot since you’re close to marina traffic.

nice, from there to cosgrove bridge is a perfect little shuttle run on the outgoing!

Doing real good, Lewis. Still looking for the elusive striper, heh? I have a buddy that lives on the water near the tressel, he says nothing there but catfish and eels. I tried that creek out of pierpont twice a few years ago and didn’t do any good. Pretty paddle thou.
I’ll be trying the ashley again when the tide and weather is right. Will shoot you a email then.
