Went out last Wed. in the kayak around Capt. Sams. at low tide. Found quite a few fish but they were spooky and not aggressivly feeding. They would follow the fly all the way back to the kayak and never commit. Ended up with 4 on small white deceivers. Had 1 fish follow twice that had to be over 35" never spooked just followed the fly all the way to the rod then turned to swim off. Sunday put the kayak in on the Kiawah side and looked for trout. Falling tide went and blind casted with the 5wt. around layed down trees. Fished in the rain until 6 p.m. caught 9 reds, 0 trout. All fish on black sliders bumped through the trees. Had to bail out the kayak twice from the rain. First trip of the year with out waders. BRRRRR I must be getting soft in my old age but that water is still cold!!
