Couple of hours yesterday afternoon

Got out in the falling tide yesterday. Went to a couple if spots, no luck, third spot got a small flounder, my first flounder that I didn’t catch with a guide. Then I caught a large blue crab, was gonna take it home but decided to throw him back.
Decided to hit some docks and had some very nice trout, i actually thought the first one was a red it took of so hard. Left them biting as my wife had made dinner reservations…
everything caught on plastic z man minnows.

Yea I got out yesterday afternoon also. Slow for some reason.

Been slow the last two weeks for me!

Went out early sunday to see the tall ships with my wife and hounds. Decided to fish the wando, just as the tide started to move had a nice trout but literally had to leave as soon as i boated the fish as we had lunch plans with friends…

sounds like you need less friends/dinner reservations and more fishing time

I can see your point, the first time my wife was out if town on biz and we have a family rule that whoever is traveling picks out what they want to do for dinner that night.
Yesterday turned out brilliant. I did say to my wife lets call and get a rain check on lunch but she said we needed to go, it was important, but she couldn’t say anymore. Turns out that my good friends daughter who is getting married here in August wants me to marry them! Huge honor and privilege, happy to miss a few trout fir that. Will make up time n the water thus week!
cheers

We fished Folly on Friday and not much action either. Picked up a nice, fat trout in first 20 minutes around some pilings (released) and nothing afterward. Few hits on Z-Man minnows along the day that we suspect were trout but were also floating shrimp and mud minnows with no takers. Looked for some menhaden to take out to harbor but couldn’t locate those either. River is full of tiny shrimp so I guess their gorging themselves.
