Headed out as the sun was going down to pitch some bait under a few docks and found a few nice fish.

I’m trying to figure out dock fishing. So when you say chunk bait under a dock which part of the dock are you talking about, the flat floating part that you would tie a boat up to, under the lift or the pilings of the walkway out to the dock? I know it takes time to find good ones and I’m slowly trying. I’m just trying to figure out how to fish them. How deep does the water need to be under the dock to hold fish?

All different have the potential to hold fish, just toss a carolina rig under different until you find what words. A few docks i fish; the big reds are under the floater, black drum, sheep's and slot reds are undee the dock head itself, and trout can be found along the walkway. Another one of my favorites the reds are under the main and big flounder sit on the outside. It reallys depends! A few feet of water is all it takes
