Couple old >22's I need info on (Pics added)

Need to get some info on a couple of 22’s. Both are semi-auto, tube fed.

One is a Marlin Mod. 60 (North Haven, Conn)with Serial # 2435XXXX. It has some fancy engraving on the stock as well.

The other is a a Savage Arms, Springfield, Westfield, Mass. model 187 T-S. Can’t find a serial # on it.

Thanks,
NN

the savage is old enough there were no serial #s
the marlin- they made a million of them- I recently bought 1 for $60 but mine has the squirrel engraved on it- I got it cheap cause it was too dirty to function

Dockman is correct, the Savage is a pre-serial number gun.

The Marlin were a dime a dozen back then, and unless there’s some special markings on it, it’s just a plain old model 60 probably.

What kind of info are you after? I have a new blue book of gun values I could look them up in for you, it’s possible to gain some info from their descriptions…

I’ve got an old marlin with the squirrel on it. I call it Bob Marley… cause it be Jamming.

I only keep it for sentimental reasons. As a kid I kept a nail wedged between the tube and stock to dig out the stuck casings. Not sure even when it was new and clean if it ever went through a complet 18 shots with out jamming.

BTW, these are not mine. Sons buddy text me and asked who could work on them as one was hanging up and the other wouldn’t fire. Once I saw them it was obvious to me why, dirty. So, just got them back together and both fire fine.

These were his grandpa’s so I’m trying to get him some info on value. Not for sale, just trying to help him out.

Let me know if there is anymore info needed and a big thanks for the help.

Doublen, Tell him the value of those rifles are the fact that they were his grandpa’s. Priceless. On the market for quick cash not so much.

That’s right, Fred, he has absolutely no urge to sell. Just curious.

I’ve got a Savage like that I traded a 6 pack of PBR for it back in high school in 62. I bet it has been fired 10,000 times like a Timex it keeps on ticking.
