Took 5 girls out on the boat today hoping to catch some reds. Found a fishy looking spot near the 41 bridge and got a hit the second the first bobber hit the water! We landed 2 slot redfish (22 and 23in) in the first five minutes using live MM under floats, letting them drift along a shell bank with the current. We didnt stay out long and we could have caught a lot more fish but I spent most of the time teaching the ladies or fixing tackle. Overall, beautiful day on the water, plenty of redfish for dinner, discovered a (hopefully) consistent spot, and the girls had a blast. I’ll be going out to the same spot again tomorrow with my brother and mother.
