Cousin's First Red (Pic)

Cousin came down from Jersey this past weekend and he wanted to go fishing, so my wife, my brother and I took a trip down the river to fish for some spot tails.

Set out bait, and within 10 minutes put him on this guy. 12lbs on the boga, well over 32 inches. First redfish for him. My wife also landed a 12 inch trout.

Bait was shrimp and mullet
Super windy and choppy even in the river
Stained water from all the weather and rain
Water temp was 84-86

Nice looking fish. WANDO?

Great job! Wind was a bear all weekend, to be sure. Were they deep, by chance? Was in a tourney, and it seemed best results were in holes. I fished one - the wrong one! LOL! Good going, Kut!

I fish low tide against dock pilings, soometimes they are deep, sometimes they are really shallow. These guys were probably in about 10 feet of water. I see to catch the bigger ones a little deeper, and the rats closer to shore.
