The Crew of the COVERED UP consisting of Swamp Baby Hardee, Dr.Save a Dollar Moore, Humdinger Heniford and yours truly Big Pimpin Low Spendin Parker made the long ride from LR inlet to the GH sunday for some much needed pullage. Had planned to hit the Mcmarln Ledge but the water wasnt there so we headed on to the hole. Thank goodness we did…soon as we arrived the baits went overboard and the carnage began. Saw lots of bait and the Mahi were with them. 16 made the ride home but shoulda been 35, just couldn keep a hook in em. Any days a good one with a full cooler and enjoying it with friends.
We saw from 73 to 77 all day. Most of the fish were caught beyond 500ft of water around weedlines. Find the weedline first and I think youll find the fish. Very few were caught away from the salad.
Since you asked…we did see some ahi…it was sandwitched between a piece of bread I had for lunch, I believe it CHICKEN OF THE SEA or something…very tasty but I think it was Albacore?
