I believe that NYC is doing what they consider to be best for them. Their schools/buildings are a lot different that those in SC. For the most part they are a lot older and have outdated AC systems (if they even have AC). That means they can’t control air exchange allowing the virus to stick around a lot longer. In addition, NYC and their school boards agreed to a limit of students getting infected and when the percentage was reached they needed to shut down the schools. Rhode Island is allowing their schools to stay open. They determined that the data indicated that children in grade schools were not getting infected at a high rate and they decided that it was more important for the children to have them in schools. High schools were left to determine for themselves if rates of infection were too high to stay open.

Besides according to the Left Masks work! why are they worried about a/c systems if masks stop the wuhan bug? Come on man. How does the wuhan bug suddenly start being infectious at midnight? Why no church ceremonies, weddings, Thanksgiving gatherings but we can have organized protests involving thousands of people?

Masks are the simplest and best defense against covid spread… Sad that Drumpf loyalist argue that masks don’t help a person from getting covid when wearing a mask is primarily about preventing transmission to others… Although, masks do help in preventing the acquisition of covid, the primary benefit is for others and slowing/eliminating the transmission…

So cutting it in half would putt he death rate at .4% going by most studies.
With the new numbers of less deaths I suppose it is less than that.
I guess it makes good sense with colder weather and people in closer proximity numbers would rise. Glad to see death rates down.
