We went to Cowpen Point today with good hopes. Set the poles and baiting and they just were not there. Best cast was four shrimp. They were nice, but not enough. Moved the poles and it only got worst. Bagged the trip and headed home. We had a good time on the water but left wanting more.
Not what you were hoping for sure. I’ve had two trips to Bulls this year with the same luck. Might not be that good today. Caper’s Near Shore bouy just showed it was gusting to 31 knots. You’d net your self casting into that.
Shrimp Bessy last week…if your shrimp have red legs pick up and move to other side. We got a dusting in 3 hours, frustrated moved, fought flipper. Moved and did test pole 10-15 at the horn. I couldn’t stab that mud fast enough with the rest of the poles. Finished cooler quickly. Cow Pens is tricky, tide and water clarity are a must to read- too clear and they are gone. Hope they stay until next weekend!

That’s a good report, Creek Girl. I’m glad someone slayed them. They were there last week but we just did not find them Friday. The suckers move around a good bit.
