Cozumel Fly Fishing?

I convinced the Fiancé I should book a fly fishing charter while we are in Cozumel for our honeymoon. I always heard the lagoons on the north of the island have tons of bonefish and baby tarpon, but that the bones are far smaller than those found in the keys. For this reason, I am taking a 6wt and a 9wt. Anyone ever fished this area and have any tips? Day of charter is 6/6/08.

I fished there 2 years ago. You should be fine with the 6 if there is no wind. If it’s windy you will be good to go with the 9. The guide I used was very impatient,ruined what could have been a very nice day. There are a ton of bonefish in the area. Mike H
