Got set up around 6:30 and baited at 7:00. Watched flipper run our poles twice and thought he was eating our bait or there was shrimp on and he was scarfing them down. Ran poles and all we got were small spots so I guess that was what he was after. Waited till 7:30 and the first shallow end poles nada, but then they were there and some of the biggest shrimp I have caught at the bank. I am talking 15 count. We ran the poles 5 times and got a 1/2 cooler and then they started slowing down and being the first trip my arm was killing me so we called it a night but was very pleased with the size for a little over a hour of actual shrimping time. Only about 8 other boats out.
Nicely done. Enjoy those jumbos! Thanks for the report.

We deep holed the harbor Fri night (with about 30 other boats). Started around 5:30, did OK til about 7 then we couldn’t find them at all. Didn’t seem like too many boats were loading up so not sure it if was the tide, moon phase or what but seemed odd.
