Crab bank Tuesday Night

set up in about 2 foot of water, baited and ran first time around 7:10 and man they were there like I hadn’t seen in a while. You throw the net and the water looks like a popcorn machine. Good size and pulling in 30-35 shrimp per pole. Ran 3 more times and they were gone. Its hard to figure out this stuff. Pulled around 9:00 with half cooler and headed home.

Thanks for report, Hope to be out there tonight.

“That’s why they call it fishin, not Catchin”

I remember when you started get red legs shrimp they usually would quit in next hr but, didn’t happen that often? Might be just me but seems like the shrimp run turn-off switch thing use to happen maybe 25-30% of time. Now seem to be like 75% time?

Jford, you’r right, it aint what it use to be!

I think it’s all the fresh water we have had over the last 3 or 4 years. Seems like every August we get saturated with fresh water. I would bet the shrimp trawlers love lot’s of rain. I hear they have done quite well this year.
The creek shrimp population has dropped approx. 50% this week also.
