Went crabbing with daddy one day about a week ago…blew a gale on us…but we managed to find and reset all of his pots…and as always had a great time while doing it!
wind was blowing 15-25 that day…with gusts 20-30…making just catching the crab lines and pulling the pots a challenge. I got to be the deck hand while daddy was the chauffer:smiley:

mmmhmmm…going to put the nose of the boat in the marsh to cull the crabs…time for penny to catch a fish!
wonder why daddy has that knowing little smile on his face…
and wonder how this crab got in my shoes I took off to empty!
soooo…will tide get this out? Im holding up sea moss or wool and telling daddy I am his son after all:wink:
Thanks for the kindness!..and gunny…I too would love to have some of those chairs! They are on a dock on the wappoo…and if I ever see anyone out there I will ask them…for both of us!
The “Century Plant” is quite a site to see. The plant lives 10 to 30 years and flowers (which is what it’s doing in your photo’s) only once and that at the end of its life. After flowering the plant will die but will leave “suckers” behind that will start all over. Stick around and in another 10 to 30 years you may see it flower again.

Springtime…thanks for that info…I knew it was a long time before they bloomed…but guess I had never really seen or realized that they have such a tall stalk and bloom! Cross the little bridge where the old abandoned shrimp boat sits on the hill…but before you get to the little station). I had to turn around and snap a pick when I saw it! Was truelly amazed!
Fished again this morning…got in around five this afternoon…then got a call from daddy…this girl will be heading to the village late night to try to stick a flatty or two with my daddy ;). Happy happy day!
