Crabbing wid" my daddy :)

Days of rain ,and motor problems for daddy, has kept us “land locked” for a while…and trips crabbing with my daddy had to be put on hold. I Finally got a chance to go with daddy to bait up and put over pots Saturday…and as soon as I got in the car to go there…a sense of peace settled over me. These trips seem to calm my nerves and remind me quickly that things will be ok…and that whatever it is that has been getting to me…isnt that important anymore.
I got there a little earlier so we would be sure to get a parking place at the ramp on the busy holiday weekend …and at 0600 the lot was already almost full. A quick hello to Uncle Gene…one of daddys brothers who was out for a walk…and we were off…

now this is a “office with a view !!”

these were not daddys pots…he keeps his closer to the shore line and tries to stay away from places that get jammed up like this…

rain rain stay away…

and while this is pretty…

Penny, I never comment on your tales, but I appreciate the pics and words. It brings back great memories of my Grandaddy. He and I used to pick up oysters in the fall and winter and fish together a lot during other times of the year. He wasn’t a commercial fisherman, but he was my buddy. I lost him on December 14, so know that your pictures and words do a great job to help others remember good times with loved ones. Thanks so much!

Thanks! H ope to see you and your family out on the water there soon
