Finally got a chance to go crabbing with my Daddy again…and realized before I even got there…that it had been wayyy too long.
Theres something calming and familiar in pulling up in their yard…seeing the lights shining through the kitchen door and window…and knowing that when I walk up on the porch I’ll see the welcoming sight of Daddys little red cooler and shrimp boots sitting there, waiting on me…and for a days work to begin…the smell of coffee form the kitchen…and I know that when I walk in they’ll both be sitting in the living room… just talking and waiting for me to come in. Today was no different. And again I say a word of thanks for moments like this… I say thanks for my momma and my daddy…and for being able to come “Home”
Heres a few pics from our day on the water.
First stop of the day…Hardees//crosstown…0430…lol…even the lady there asked where I had been:smiley:

Good Morning Mr. Sun…Thank you God for letting me live to see this Day…and to spend it on the water with my Daddy.
around every bend theres the promise of a treasure that can only be caught and seen in a blink… and in your minds eye…and sometimes if youre lucky…in a picture…its there for just a minute…then gone…but hopefully once youve seen it it will remain in your heart forever. Theres nothing like the “Smell” and sounds of the creek. Its not just one thing that makes
Great as always, Penny. Good way to start my morning, thank you for that. You didn’t show Daddy which finger that crab bit when he harassed you, did you?! LOL
No…but the crab must have mistakenly thought it was “directed"at him and took great offense to it! [:)”] Originally posted by Vinman

I really enjoy your posts. I hope that everyone “enjoys” their parents while they can like you seem to. Don’t want to look back and say “I wish…”. No regrets. No “should have, could have, would have”. Dementia took my Momma months ago. God took her on July 15. Your posts bring it all into perspective for me. I have no regrets…
