Crabbing with my daddy last week

Well I got to crab two days with daddy last week and was happy for it. Wednesday was so hot with barely a breeze to be found which made for a long day…and to make matters worse…the northeaster blowing also brought with it those nasty northeaster flies…the little black flies that love to bite between your shoulder blades, on your ankles, legs…anywhere they can hit before you see them. Still had a blast…but I always do working with Daddy:smiley:
Friday was a much nicer day with a steady breeze that kept the temp down a little. Crabs also picked up a little which was a added bonus. Saw my friend Mr. porpoise …but thats another story:wink:…heres a few pics of my adventures with daddy:smiley:

How Blessed are we to get to see…
The sun rising up above the sea…

Daddy giving one of the bouys a “haircut” where the long grassy stuff and barnicles grow on them. this has to be done every few days as it weights the floats down and …you can be ticketed for it too.

My “tern” on a float:smiley:…these little terns for some reason love to sit on the floats

You need to teach my wife how to cook seafood! I like that Air Force shirt btw.

Thanks everyone…
Dfreedom…Ito was very disappointed in size of shrimp we are finding when we find them…have sworn not to try to peel that size again ;).
AL8995---->. Our youngest son is now serving his 13th year in the US AIR FORCE…and he sent that to daddy. Lol…daddy was navy and jokingly tease Ben saying he is in the “chair force”. But like us…is very proud of him.

Make sure to include the recipes of the dishes you show. It could be a cookbook with a photo-storyline to go along with each recipe.

I look fwd to seeing your posts. Love the pics and captions.

little bonus for helping out…mmm dinner…

This is the reason local seafood is soooo... expensive. The local fishermen pay their help WAY to much.

OK. Truth be told, I feel like I should pay YOU every time I read one of these posts.

I’m blessed to know you lady! I get a lot of pleasure reading your posts! But you said “small” shrimp…I’m looking at the one’s next to the crab on the left. Now the crab has to be 5" for you to keep. some of those shrimp are 3-4"
Maybe I’ve just never caught really LARGE shrimps… See you soon!
