was able to sneak away for a day of crabbing with my daddy. Have put donnie on “oficial notice” that at least once a week I will be Mcclellanville bound to spend a day on the water with him. One nice thing about the new time change is being able to see the sun come up as we were leaving a little later .

The pelicans were in full attendance…waiting for a free meal as we emptied the pots…and one actually grabbed and had my whole hand in his beak and was shaking his head and flapping like crazy as we got into a tug of war with me trying to retrieve it…and him trying to figure out what in the heck kind of fish I was:smiley:. Daddy was hooting with laughter saying “he isnt going to hurt ya”! Yeah…it wasnt his arm that was being swallowed!..and two more were jumping at me too!!Where is a game warden when I need one! had more spider crabs in the pots today.(and lots of conchs) those crabs are soooo ugly!…and a nuisance! they not only eat the bait…but are hard to shake out of the pots! note their picky little claws! Daddy said they actually cooked up a few once to see what they tasted like:dizzy_face:…and as you would guess…not too good:smiley:. Must have been a long shrimp boat trip for them to try that!!
