I am a (**() yankee, been here since 1976 courtesy of the United States Navy, submarine sailor…love grits and boiled peanuts.
My father Bill could make anything out of nothing.
And my wifes father James, who worked at CNSYD, could do the same and is now rejoicing with Bill in the great beyond.
Your father is also undeniably a treasure.
You give me great joy when you post about your time with him, because it makes me think of them, the smells, the food, the light of the day, holidays and just being with them and loving them.
You do all of us here at Charleston Fishing a great service.
That’s so kind of you. Two other things happened this past week . One funny…one scary. Daddy had a friend come visit him last Friday…a old friend . He showed up in a …as daddy says…red as I’ve ever seen corvette.?.and they went to lunch. If you could have heard daddy explains how he couldn’t get in until perry instructed him to “back in”… And about the fast joy ride that followed…goodness! I can’t picture my daddy in a red corvette ripping down the highway…even now it makes me bust out laughing :).
Ten the bad thing…Friday as Donnie was getting out of the truck ! Roo decided it haul butt after a squirell…who ran across the road in front of the house…luckily the car coming stopped for the squirel… which kept Roo from getting run over. Needless to say…it was abig big scare!
Why thanks ! I love the rad pelican one…but the one of daddy getting soaked is kinda funnyy too…ESP since he was laughing at me sitting in the bottom of the boat…
Will be going again Friday as I will be off that day…finally…can’t wait!
