Crabbing with my Daddy

daddy has been recovering from surgery and everything went well…last week he baited up his pots for jimmies to use for bait in the peeler crabs.
It was so great to be on the water with him again!
Tommorow we go t0 see how we did!
I have missed posting .New lap top is whipping my butt…half way through every attempt as I toggle back and forth between cf and photobucket it kicks me out…finally…20 tries later… success:smiley:

Watch out crabs…here we come

First pictures were of daddy building some regular pots…the yellow ones are regular…small square mesh are the ones for peelers, I figured instead of flowers and candy I would send daddy wire and hog rings so he could build a few new pots while he healed from surgery…crabber rehab:smiley:…and it would keep him out from under moms feet.

Even in the yard I see signs of Daddy…like mushroom "clams " growing on the old wood pile:smiley:

Early morning…I watch as the creek comes alive and all I can do is try to take it all in and wonder what kind of adventure the day will hold…

wait a dang minute…so that’s where that other apple went:wink::wink:

Thanks all! Here I am getting ready to head to bed and the rain is pouring down! That’s ok… I will be on the road at 0430 rain or shine and daddy and I will work his traps.
Pot puller motor still not here so I will be his pot puller.
He said the old one was quieter than me! Can you believe that!
Well this labor is free and brings breakfast and snacks…so he doesn’t complain much

Really enjoyed the post. I used to shrimp bait with my Grandfather before he passed a couple years ago. This sure does bring back some good memories. Looking forward to hearing more.
