Some crack head stole the gas tank out of my jon boat and cut the gas line to get it out last night. I think I am going to get a gas tank from Lowes fill it up with half gas and half sugar and leave it by my boat. I am going to write on it spare gas. Let them try to run that in their engines!!!
Theft is becoming epidemic. I say catch em, round em all up and then put them in a city park for a public stoning. Not necessarily to death but just short of. Or, the middle eastern method, chop off a hand.
Doug, you do mean throwing rocks at them, right? Cause I’d hate to be the guy that had to roll all them joints. I will, however, volunteer to test for quality and proper smoke-ability.
Seriously, I’m in favor of the lopping off of hands, but not the quick chop with an ax or machete(sp). More along the lines of a rip saw (hand held of course, no Skil saws)

mythbusters busted the sugar in the tank thing. all it does is settle on the bottom. bleach, however, oxidizes the engine and fuel lines from the inside out

You are right but it does plug up a fuel filter real quick. We get it every now and then at work. If you mixed the sugar in water to make a slurry then mixed in the gas, it would probably work.
A good mix of diesel and gas will make it to where they will have to flush the fuel system and foul the plugs but do no real damage.
Sorry for your loss. The neighborhood I live in has had a rash of theft in the past few months. Sucks that you have to dam near disassemble your entire boat at the end of the day when it is in your yard so some punk ass kid wont steel you hard earned stuff.
A wise man once said “Do as I say not as I do” Good advice when I tell you that.
