Thanks for asking. I’ve had about the most miserable week of my life. Had all of my teeth surgically removed last week, bone grafts put in my jaws, dental implants put in and a new set of chompers all around. Not adjusting to it very well. Can’t hardly talk, can’t eat, feel like crap. Too many drugs with other side effects…ugh:face_with_head_bandage:

I’m still here though. This too will pass, I hope

Dang, that does sound rough!! Hope you are back to 100% soon!!
Knew a guy once that had false teeth. He would make bar bets that he could touch the tip of his nose with his tongue! He popped out the upper plate and he could. He got a lot of free drinks:smiley: I know that won’t make you feel any better Larry, but it may make you smile a little!
Dang Larry , that’s hurts just hearing about it[:0][:0], sounds to me like a bloody mary , rum and coke , and a bud diet would be my meals of choice for a whiiiiile !!!hope you get over it soon, looking maybe to stop by before long if you’re up for it, didn’t make it past spring but intend to this time…
Thanks to all for the well wishes This is the worst I’ve felt in many, many years.

My mother could always do that and she had all of her teeth. She won a few bets too! I didn’t get her tongue.
Hydrocodone and bourbon makes me goofy as heck, I figure it’s best not to PUI, or PWI, and be thought an incoherent fool
Glad to hear your ok & on the mend. It’ll take a little time to get used to the new chompers. My Mom told me to get some peanuts and eat them one at a time. She said if you can’t eat a peanut, you can’t eat much of anything. It helps toughen up the gums and also lets you know where to tell the dentist to do some adjusting. When it hurts, pop the teeth out & rinse with some warm salt water. Learning to talk like you used to is fun too! S’s & C’s were the toughest for me. And it took me a while to teach myself how to whistle again.

Hope you get to feeling better. I hate having dental work done. When I was younger our family dentist was great then he retired, went to another guy I think he was the DEVIL in disguise:angry:or hooked on drugs or booze. Went three times and have had to be medicated ever since. And that’s just to have a cleaning.Wishing you much better days.
Appreciate y’all for thinking of me It’s amazing how many friends you can make that you’ve never even met, although I’ve met a few too.
Getting a little bit better every day, I think I might live now. Sunday I was undecided.
Sophish, I hear you on the dentists, I’m the same way, with about the same experiences with them as you have. Ain’t but 2 things on this planet that I’m scared of and that’s grizzly bears and dentists. But sometimes ya just got to do what ya got to do, and fight the bear. Jury is still out on who won.
