Wanted to Turkey Hunt my last day, wifus fudged it up. Next plan was to take kids to catch bream, again wifus was making Willy Wonka look like a beginner. Plan C, fish the upper Wando in pursuit of fish. Caught an inshore slam that Mazacuaton left behind!!! Caught several keeper trout, over slot reds 8-9 lbs, and a keeper flounder. Had a 15 lb red break my hook and a red over 50" that straightened the hook. Artificial crappie bait was the go to choice since downsizing was the key to put the smack down on these fish. When they are hungry and you hit it right they’ll bite at most anything! I’ve had a lot of success using a variety of fresh water artificial baits in the Salt. Carolina rigged Pumpkin seed lizard and bubble gum worms work.
I’ve always wondered if buzz baits would work for trout and reds. Seems like they should.

Yes sir, they will. White. Never caught a trout on one, several reds, flounder and cobia (sight casting).
did you really go through the trouble to scribble out the plastic lure you used? Why even post a report?
I think the report itself is great. I would’ve simply omitted the picture of the bait if I didn’t want to divulge my secrets as opposed to posting an edited picture of said top secret bait. Lol! But hey, to each his own.
