Really want to catch some crappie. I grew up in upstate SC fishing Hartwell so I have some knowledge, however I have been at Edisto Beach for 14 years.
Anyone willing to give me some advice on places to start on Moultrie? General areas? Depths? Thanks in advance.
Get some minners and go up to lake Marion.Start at crappie neck,then go in front of rocks pond by sixteen island and down by redbird.If you’ve got your heart set on moultrie , I have slayed them in front of the duck pond.You just need to get out there and start drifting,you’ll spot the crappie fleet soon enough.
Probably not the answer you want, but book Joseph Dennis. I was in your shoes and wanted to learn about the winter crappie bite. I booked him and learned more on that trip than I could’ve imagined.
It’s not rocket science but it’s more efficient and effective to learn from a professional.
