Before all this Pandemic craziness started, changing how and where we fish, I was on a learning journey chasing Redfish. You see last year I had one of my best years ever fishing for speckled seatrout, I could catch them at will and not just the dinks; I caught dozens of trout over 20 inches long and hundreds throughout last year, but redfish not so much. That seems completely opposite from all my personal experience and friends. I’ve always found it much easier to catch spot tail over trout unless fishing very specific areas.
My son and a friend of his used to go up from Steel bridge in yaks. He said it’s amazing how much a big spot tail will pull you. Send us some pics when you get out there.
