Chased down a school of these guys in a creek on Sat.
Put up a nice little fight on a Fluke.
The day turned into a mixed bag.
15+ Under slot reds.
20+ trout, all but 6 were under.
6 flounder, 2 keepers
1 Bluefish
1 Striper
1 Blue Crab
and 1 Ray.
All on artificials.
caught endless amounts of those in panama city beach last month. yes they fight pretty hard

I had read some SCDNR documents that said Jacks used to be in the harbor and targeted frequently, but was pretty surprised to see them almost 15 miles up river.
It’s good to see them returning (if they were gone), and what seemed like a pretty good sized healthy school.
If only he was 10lbs heavier. Would have been epic on an inshore rod.

We caught a couple of really small Jack’s in the cast net sunday by shem creek. They were chasing small bait.
