Come on, every one knows what a croaker sack is.

Seafood Markets sell them, last one I got was from Huffs on Folly for $3

jamie westendorff has a catering bidness in west nasty, he may part with some if you ask nicely- Charleston Outdoor Catering is across from the Hokus Pokus on 61.

i assume you’re referring to real croaker sacks instead of those white plastic things. good for errvrything- camoflaging boats, hauling oysters, holding decoys, really silly looking races, etc

Thanks guys. Yea, i need the burlap ones. I tried crosbys this morning but they did not have any. They did tell me that a seed store on Johns island may have some. I’ll try Huffs and Jamie first since it is closer to the house.

Use a recycling bin for oysters- free and easy to move around

Go by Dollar General and pick up some cheap laundry baskets, wont slide around in the boat and you can hose them down with out moveing them!

I should have been more specific. They are using them to cook oysters. I found some at Huffs. thanks guys.

Try using a clean wet old rug works great!

Since no one has told you, brown paper bags are what you want. Get a handful at the grocery store, unfold them into sheets, wet them, and lay them over the oysters. 5 or 6 layers should keep the steam in, unlike the croaker sacks. If you’re careful lifting the bags on and off, the wet bags should last all night.
