Crock pot ham

Yes it was. Have also done and rubbed with different jams like peach raspberry and apricot then rub with brown sugar. Always the same results delicious!

My directions said six hours in the crock pot. It was too long. Maybe my pot cooks too hot, or my clock runs too slow, who knows. My joke about directions was just that…a joke. I was simply giving my experience like was asked. Glad yours turn out well.

i kinda figured it was a joke but still decided to bust your bubble. no problem here. really though the recipe that we use is killer. no need to cook it on low for four hours. maybe 2 and then put it on med or high for about an hour. either way they turn out juicy and tasty. no harm meant. i take pride in being a smart ass sometimees. it keeps people on their toes and lightens up the moment.

Low and slow until an internal temp of 135, cover and let it rest.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.

Looks good Fritz! Is all that juice from the ham or did you put some in the pan:question:

Pineapple juice in the pan

Looks great

Fritz; that is one beautiful ham. looks delicious

Wife and mother in law cook a picnic ham in the oven about 4 hours. Low temp with a little water in the bottom of the pot. Cover with tinfoil. You can pull the bone out when it’s done. Best thing is to make a lot of greasy rice with left over broth from ham.

Also agree. Can of pineapple and brown sugar.

brown sugar to coat the bottom of the crick pot…slow and low for 8 hours…drain the fat…finished in the oven and even broiled some of the fat into almost a crispy chip…pretty dang good…
