Wife does it pretty regular, she cuts a few sweet potatoes and puts them around the ham and then just lets it cook on low all day… easy peasy.

we have done three or four since thanksgiving. just put 1 1/2 cups brown sugar in bottom of crock pot. kinda pack it down some. place your ham in the pot and pour a can of diced or crushed pineapple . we rub another 1/2 cup of brown sugar over the ham and then pour the pineapple over that. sometimes we add a little fresh honey. put on lid; set it on low and cook for right at 4 hours. that sugar and pineapple permeates the ham though it instead of just on the outside. darn good!!
adding the pineapple really sets the flavor off.
My wife is an awesome cook, but the one time she attempted this it was quite a fail… She will never live it down haha!!!

Gonna put a spiral sliced ham on the egg this weekend and see what happens.

Down here is where a signature goes but they can confuse and anger some people so I don’t have one.
I agree with chuck. I tried it over Thanksgiving and screwed up a ham.
i do not know how you can screw up a smoked ham. they are already cooked and you are just basically heating it back up. I said 4 hrs on low but usually only 2 1/2 hrs and then put it on high for about 45 mins. that way you get a little crust on the outside.
Usually you just let a Spiral Cut Ham, warm up to room temp! They are already cooked!

Fitz, I’ve tried warming them up and all I’ve done is dry them out! Save yourself some time and money!

Probably by having someone give you bad instructions like you just did. You said four hours, then changed it.

That might do it:question: I just wrapped it and warmed it, cut side down and lost all the juice and the slices started to curl!
nice smart ass comment 7cs. i was just trying to let people know how we do it and every one of them has come out nice and juicy and tasty. it seems like there is always one out there and it appears that you are it today.
Try rubbing with mustard and a little rub put in smoker for about 4 hours low heat with a fruit wood you will have a hard time not doing it every time.

Light coat of mustard rub with brown sugar into smoker with mixture of pecan and cherry wood chips at temp of 250 until internal temp of 140 wrap in foil and then a towel styro foam cooler to rest for about a hour.
