Does anyone know if they sell live bait? If so what do they carry? Thanks in advance.

Yeah just frozen.
Live bait can be a bit of a challenge to find (buy) in the Folly area I’ve noticed. You might want to buy yourself a minnow trap, you saw how easy it can be to load up on them if you are in the right spot lol.

I bought one last week actually. Figured with the brothers being here might as well get one. Got some line and a float. Told my brother where to toss it but guess I forgot to tell to let go of the float too. Needless to say I donated my brand new trap to the folly river gods when the line broke off the float.

Crosbys on folly rd sells live mud minnows, shrimp and live blue crabs. Bought bait there many times. Bought crabs there last weekend.

Crosby’s always has mud minnows and typically shrimp. Sometimes fiddlers. They have not been very reliable on crabs this year (for me anyway). For crabs on way out to Folly, you also have Huff’s and Backman Seafood as options. Can typically find some bait off Folly River, along some of the banks or in the feeder creeks.
All the times I’ve walked in there, and I haven’t noticed any live bait. Guess I’m not looking too hard.
Bait is in the tanks in the deckhouse. Pay at register upstairs, bring bucket to dock shed.
Also, they “may” let you fill up cooler with ice you buy bait.
When I went there they had mm and shrimp. Thanks for the ice tip…

I’m ashamed of what I said above, because I do distinctly remember buying live bait at Crosby’s now that y’all mention it. Sorry lol
And Rob, lol, I know how you feel about the minnow trap, I’ve done similar things before. Lost a cast net at Remley’s, throwing it in a place that I KNEW was a stupid idea. Got what I deserved.

crosbys definitley has live bait! and some tackle too just in case you forgot something
