Cull or keep?

PokeSalad is probably like me and doesn’t appreciate people trespassing and allowing their dogs to destroy/disrupt their hunting/enjoyment of their own land.

Let the little fella walk. He will grow. As far as the good and bad doggers, in my experience, I even end up having the sorry MUTS from the so called “good ones” end up on my property and two of my neighbor’s property too. The last dog I caught–trying to get into my garbage can–had three tracking collars on it. The “doggers” were trying, but as always, they failed miserably, again–the same thing every season. Like 23Sailfish, if a person does not invite themselves into my house, then they also have NO business inviting themselves onto my property either. It always turns into a debate somehow, but I CANNOT see how it is a debate. KEEP OUT and NO TRESPASSING means exactly that. The hunter is responsible for their dogs regardless of whether the dog can read signs or not…PERIOD!

Huh,interesting how YOU said "not all dogers are bad..."

I never mentioned a word about doggers being bad or not.

You and I have argued enough over the years about this one. Every one on this sight knows we have some really peckerwood dog hunters A few on here know what it’s like to hunt a large track of land with surrounding land owners blessings and enjoy a righteous dog drive.

Dog hunting will probable go the way of the rebel flag and most will rejoice. Can’t say it will break my heart, just too many “doggers” without respect for others property.

23 sailfish I just hope you get to reap all the hard work you’ve put into your hunting area without the aggravation of unwanted trespassers !

learn to look at the their body before the rake. I have a 3-1/2year old lab that has lbs than that deer…

Hey if you’re doing it legal, I’m 100% for it. The ones I have problems with are the ones that intentionally run over my property. They are breaking the law. The guys staying on their leases, I could care less about. The acts of a couple of boneheads give the good ones a bad rep. It’s not fair, but tough, life isn’t fair.

Guess what? I have the same distaste for the people that kill breeder redfish. It’s illegal and it affects a resource that I am legally trying to harvest from.

The first part…AGREED! The redfish part…ummmm, huh? Do you mean people taking oversized redfish or catch and release of breeder reds (only because some people think catching and releasing them kills all of them). If you mean taking oversized reds, then yes (agreed), the bone heads should put them back unharmed instead of taking them home, and it burns me up too. I stick reds with a gig when I’m flounder gigging, it is easy to tell which ones are legal and which ones are not, and if in doubt, let it go.

Yes, the people that illegally harvest out of slot fish. Catch and release has never bothered me; its what I do 95% of the time.

Doesn’t hurt my feelings to gig one either; I have people begging me for redfish on a weekly basis.
