Took my 2 daughters out to the club today to join in on the afternoon hunts since my oldest had a soccer game to attend and help her teammates come away with a 9-4 victory. So we got to the club and thought we may get a crack at something today since the does are legal now. Close call on the first drive and then the dogs stepped on one on the next drive. Dogs were hot on the heels of a different deer when I looked up and told my daughter to get on the gun get on the gun…yes she got caught he one time today playing a game on her tablet and when she threw the gun up ol slick head peeled off to the left and dropped it into high gear. I had to back her up and cured the slick head fever! The girls were excited and thrilled that it finally happened. My girls might appear to be cool calm and collective but when we are hunting it’s all business and are anxious to capitalize on every opportunity. This by far isn’t a trophy to most but trophies are in the eye of the beholder. And this was awesome for them!
