On my runs up the Stono, there’s a BIG center console at the marina by Ross Marine that always catches my eye. I’ve attached a couple images of it from Google Earth, its the farthest one out in the slips.
I’m posting to see if anyone has any info on it; who manufactures it? What its specifically designed for? I often see it with a bunch of blue barrels on it. Looks commercial? Its one of the coolest boats I’ve seen that that marina and I’m always curious about what its built for.

It’s always there. I always joke that it is a drug running boat. Looks like it is loaded down with extra fuel drums.

It resembles the massive CC made by Scout, it’s like a 40-something footer. I’ve seen one of them up the road from the Scout facility in Summerville getting gassed up. It had, if my memory serves me, either triple or quad 300’s on it.

When they were testing the new big CC, didn’t they have a boat without a cap on it or rigged out, and they added barrels for weight to get it to final rigged weight for testing?
Could it be that boat just sitting in their slip?

Geronimo, that is the most plausible answer yet! Makes a lot if sense! When I don’t have a correct, ready, answer, I tend to try for humor and that doesn’t always work out so well!
The barrels have been on it for over a year.

Bait boat!! That would be nice. I wish someone in the area would sale bait like in other places. I’ve always been one to catch my own bait. Even if I had to spend the day prior to fishing doing it. Buy the older I get the more I find myself stopping at the bait store.
