Brother has a bass tourney on Saturday here in Murray and wants to bass fish in the Big Saluda.
Told him I wasn’t sure what the rain in the upstate earlier this week had done to the Big.
Figured I would ask to see if anyone knew here.
I don’t know about the river, but the elbow area is starting to clear up. Still dingy, but the best I’ve seen it since January. Some friends said there was a lot of muddy water coming down the river. As of today it hasn’t made it to the elbow.
The current is ripping up there. Yesterday it was 4680 CFS which is about the highest i have ever seen. Today it was was 3090 CFS at noon, It might be too fast to make headway against it with the trolling motor…

Fished it yesterday from above Blacks to Elbow. Water was stained but not muddy. Moving pretty good on the upper end. Marked no fish, though.
